Executive Director: Jenna O’Farrell

Jenna O’Farrell took over as executive director of NEKCA in July of 2018.  Prior to this role, Jenna was co-principal of the St. Johnsbury School.  She has over twenty-five years of experience that includes early education, school administration, non-profit management, and leadership posts.

Program Director: Kristi Hatley

Kristi joined the team in October of 2019. She holds a BS in Social Work and a BS in Healthcare. She has over 20 years of leadership experience ranging from healthcare, community outreach, mental health and marketing. Kristi relocated here from Tennessee in June of 2019 (hence the accent) and has falling in love with Vermont. Her passion is helping others, advocating for others and always having a servant’s heart. Kristi leads with the philosophy of “leaving a legacy”.

Program Director: Stephanie Bowen

Stephanie has been with NEKCA since 1996. She is Director of Community & Justice Programs and Community Based Corrections Programs. Stephanie holds degrees in Human Services and in Criminal Justice from CCV, a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Johnson State College and a Masters degree in Psychology from Springfield College of Human Services.

Co-Program Directors: Stephanie Tetreault & Kellie Tarryk

Stephanie Tetreault is the Director of Services with NEKCA Head Start / Early Head Start. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. Briefly after graduating college she had two amazing opportunities, one was a BS1 (Behavioral Specialist) for Woodfords Family Services and the other working for Head Start as a Lead Teacher. This is where she discovered her love for the Head Start Philosophy.5

Kellie Tarryk is the Director of Operations with NEKCA Head Start / Early Head Start. Prior to this position, she has held the position of Teachers Assistant, EHS Home Visitor, Classroom Teacher, and Center Manager. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education, as well as a MA in Organizational Management and Leadership. Kellie loves that she can be a part of big changes in the lives of many and is looking forward to new experiences and learning more each day. Farming, farming, farming,…oh did I say farming? Is that a hobby or a lifestyle?

Program Director: Joy Ely

Joy Ely is the Director of Northeast Kingdom Community Action Parent Child Center South in St. Johnsbury and the Director of the Parent Child Center – North in Newport.  Joy joined the team in January of 2019.  She has over 25 years of leadership experience ranging from alternative schools, residential programs, private schools, and helping to develop alternative classrooms.  Joy’s passion is being able advocate and support families in the Northeast Kingdom.
