ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NEKCA SOUTH SERVICES – NEKCA is seeking a full-time ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NEKCA SOUTH SERVICES in St. Johnsbury. The Assistant Director will primarily be responsible for the daily operations and services in St. Johnsbury. Coordinate volunteers and staff coverage, including direct services to clients when providing staff coverage. This may include case coordination and follow-up in providing services to individuals and families who request assistance. Candidates should have experience with leadership, team building, community partnerships and direct service delivery. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Services or related field desired.
FAMILY SERVICES COORDINATOR:
NEKCA Head Start seeks a Family Services Coordinator to provide hands on support to integrate parent and family engagement strategies into all systems and program services to support family well-being and promote children’s learning and development. The Family Services Coordinator will provide information, referral and coordinating efforts to link staff and families with appropriate community resources. Assist in public relations, parent involvement, and cultural competency to promote the Head Start program. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field. Knowledge of community resources including local service providers; state and federal agencies. Experience working with adults in a learning environment, group organization and group facilitation. Experience working with community organizations. Sufficient transportation is needed to meet job requirements.
CENTER MANAGER: Exciting, full-time opportunity available for a unique individual who enjoys a work environment that is challenging and rewarding. The NEKCA St. Johnsbury Head Start/ Early Head Start program is seeking a leader who will provide support and supervision to staff as well as leading a team effort to provide quality early childhood and family-centered services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills; the ability to meet program timelines and implement federal and state licensing requirements. Candidates will have completed VT Early Childhood and Afterschool Program Director Step One certificate or successful completion of a 3 credit course in program management for early care and education or for school age care and education of children; and three credit course in curriculum. At a minimum, must possess a credential in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field. Supervisory experience preferred.
